If my son was getting involved in what was viewed as one of the darkest rap crews around, rapping about raping, killing, and mutilating people (try and say that fast), i'd pick an Oceanic island and see if there was a military academy there. I can understand why it happened.

I got kicked in the face by Mellowhype and got to invade the stage.

They were friggin' awesome, and the set list is wrong, they played "Splatter" or part of it at least.

Utterly insane gig, some very funny bits and the band where climbing all over the place.

"French" was easily my favourite moment.

The set was actually pretty long, much longer than most of the sets you get at Camden Crawl. Normally about 25-30 minutes they played as much as anyone.

Camden Crawl was awesome by the way.

I put pics of Odd Future up on the Strictly Reading Fan Page: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/fbx/?set=a.151251301608566.36006.147041735362856

Enjoy.

Oh and they didn't actually play "Earl" obviously, the DJ just dropped it, and the band incited a stage invasion and a mass singalong.

EDIT: I went to Camden Crawl, if that was the Relentless Garage setlist my apologies.

I think they're enigmatic. The way they've manipulated their entire image, fair play for the hype they've built. I personally think they live up to it too. I don't know a lot of rap music, especially not current stuff, but I think they're spell-binding. Tyler, Earl and Hodgy Beats are especially talented. Their live shows look absolutely mental too.

My only issue is the lyrics. It's obviously supposed to be controversial and from interviews they don't come across as homophobic or misogynist in real life, but it still makes me uneasy. That's probably the desired effect, some of it is really close to the bone though.

They're still one of my must-see acts of the weekend, it'll be an event.
