Campsite Classics?

Hi Everyone,

Everytime I Go to V, I take an old stereo and make cds of whoevers on at the festival and also decent tunes of the time.

Well I also chuck in the odd 'Oldie' Classic in the middle of a CD for a laugh. Not good ones, but ones that just dont fit on the disc and people cant help singing along to when drunk. Previous Oldies have been One Step Beyond by Madness. and Star Trekkin by the firm.

Any Suggestions for this years Classic?

Cheers in advance.

Used to do something similar every year at Reading, in '95 the campsite classic was Eye of the Tiger, and we all started singing it whenever queueing for anything (which at Reading 95 was everywhere!).

Jaws hit the floor when Billy-Joe from Green Day starting playing it in a gap in the set on the main stage!

Some real classics so far..

How about limiting it down a bit by saying just one song from each artist?

EG

Faithless - Weapon of mass destruction

Faithless - Insomnia

Now theres a question in itself. Which one do you leave out?

well if you like complete and utter randomness mixed in with your top class tunes then go for "superman", "the birdie song" or "the conga", be a great way of getting everyone dancing and having a laugh. Thought I would add some cheesiness seen as everyone suggested good respectable tunes :)

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
