Just in case anyone who has never been to Finsbury Park before looks at the map at

http://londonfeis.com/finsbury-park/

that map is incorrect - the actual park is across the road .

if you arrive at Finsbury Park station and walk up Seven Sisters Road towards Manor House its on the left and not on the right.

Its amazing they got it wrong.

i managed to get a saturday day ticket for a fiver yesterday. keep your eyes peeled for tickets going on the cheap as apparently the festival has loads of tickets left and selling them off in brief super cheap deals so the festival isn't half empty.

got mine from: http://www.supajam.com/news/story/SupaJam-gives-you-Bob-Dylan--Van-Morrison-Feis-Festival-tickets-NOW

theyve all gone now but think they did the same thing for an hour last week

Hey - I was just on the official website, looking for info about travel seeing as there could well be a tube strike (nothing doing on that though..... :O) , and noticed that Imelda May seems to have disappeared from the lineup - has anyone heard anything about this? I was pretty curious about seeing her, as I'd heard she puts on quite a show, so it will be s shame if she's not playing now.

Also, I've not seen this anywhere else, but you may be interested to hear that The Saw Doctors have announced that they are playing at 9.15 on the second stage, against Dylan on the main stage. Having seen Dylan at Fleadh way back in the early 90's (and not being impressed, despite liking Dylan), I think I may be tempted to go to see the boys from Tuam instead.....

was there and had a great day but teh feis organizers left themselves down badly . the ploy of refusing to disclose set times so as to get people in and spending is breathtakingly cynical .

toilets a disgrace and this thing of selling tix at a fiver - 14 times cheaper than the people who have supported from the off is hardly designed to encourage repeat business .

also the site was half the size compared to when the fleadh was held there

cant imagine they will hold one next year as why would anyone pay full price when you can get in for a fiver

    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
    • Same. Shower and back out in a taxi!
