you can bring alcohol onto the site but not the arena, just like v/reading etc etc.

but theres loads of bars outside the arena, which are pretty damn good which deal with cash. inside it is tokens.

Are these bars normal pubs in werchter then? would be good to have something other to do in the town while your not in the arena!

Nah, just gazebos with picnic benches under them mainly. Just on the side of the main road that goes past the site.

and what does 1 ticket get you food and drink wise?? just so i can budget, might aswell buy all my areana tokens now so i can take more spends at the time!!

1 ticket: Coca Cola (Light/Zero), Hoegaarden Rosé, Jupiler, Water

1,5 ticket: Red Bull

EAT:

1 ticket: Snacks (Frikandel, Boulet,...) Vietnamese Spring Roll

1,5 ticket: Fries, Hamburger, Hot-Dog, Sandwich

2 tickets: Pizza, Sandwich

3 tickets: Pasta

There are also more expensive things like noodles and wok dishes for more than 3 tickets.

Thanks for the info!! were the vouchers 2.5 euros last year too? 7.5 euros for some pasta sounds a bit steep!! think i will be sticking to hotdogs and hoegaarden to keep me going! haha!

Yes they were, but presale tickets were only 2,25 euros last year...

I do only eat fries and pizza, prica/quality those are the best.

Driving i think, ferry from hull to zebbrugge then going to sail back from rotterdam on the monday night, so we can spend the day in amsterdam.

Ive just noticed the Friday Day Tickets have sold out too now!

Does anyone know roughly when the weekend tickets tend to sell out? got a few mates wanting to add but get the feeling it will sell out soon!

I was just wondering about the XL camping tickets; I'm going to be buying two weekend tickets, do I need two camping tickets or just the one? Also, what's the deal with alcohol on the campsite? The website was a bit unclear.

Any advice for a first timer would be much appreciated

Thanks to both h1210 and thetime . Does the tent that you pitch have to reflect the amount of people staying there? I.e. 2 people = a 2 man tent or can you have bigger than this as long as it's reasonable?

Take me I hate sharing tents, people are far to smelly haha. I took a 3 man tent to myself last year.

I found alcohol in the arena to be pretty expensive (and weak).

They have a strange rule where you are allowed to take in certain containers though (water bottles - like the ones you take to the gym etc) etc were allowed so just filled them with alcohol and took them in.

Bars on the main street outside were a lto betetr value for money.

RW looks good again this year but fancy going to Main Square in France for a change, seems to be a similar (but smaller) line up. Hopefulyl get Underworld added, they were superb at RW a few years ago

Does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to to-and-fro between Werchter and Leuven? Supposed to be staying in a hostel in Leuven, but now I'm wondering is it gonna be a nightmare to get back to once the festival's over each night. Any help greatly appreciated!

There are free busses from Leuven to Werchter and from Leuven to Werchter all weekend long.
