Clapton and Winwood?

I see that Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood are playing dates together over here at the end of May. I'd say they would be high on the Eavis wanted list for either the "legends" slot which they both fit with consummate ease or a headlining slot on West Holts. Michael was on about booking Clapton a few years ago and, of course, Winwood played Glastonbury with Traffic in the fabled 1971 Fayre. I'd be made up if they play. Perfect stuff for a middle aged gents and ladies swaree!

Clapton was playing dates this year in May but no substantial rumour emerged.

(Though must say if he did play I'd die happy - I want to go see him in May but have big important bad ass exams.)

I really badly wanted tickets for there shows together at the Royal Albert Hall, ticket prices were extortionate though!

Winwood needs to play anyway to make up for his non-appearance way back in 97. I am still gutted that he pulled out and was replaced by Kula f**king Shaker!

I would love to see Steve Winwood and Eric. Although I could see SW playing I have never thought of Eric as a festival person for some reason. Been listening today to SW latest best of cd. That would do for a set for me on a sunny afternoon.
