Seeing all the people here and elsewhere helping each other, sometimes even total strangers, get tickets, was pretty great this morning. Made my day to see people being really unusually generous and helpful. A lot of people have been criticising this behaviour but as far as I'm concerned the pulling together and the whole attitude on display this morning was genuinely amazing, , very special, and basically represented a huge chunk of the glastonbury ethos.

Good work guys :)

True.

I thought it was lovely how people were helping and others trusting.

That bozo that was going mental, accusing Michael Eavis for the way See handled the selling should be whipped.

How I see it, if you're nice and have nice friends, why not help those nice people out if they can't get through, we're all trying anyway. It's not like someone's playing on their xbox and saying 'can't be arsed to queue for tickets, I'll ring _____'.

So, I guess the moral is, if you're a horrible, nasty person like 'The man they call the boss', nobody will want to buy you tickets.

I have been going since the 90s and have always got tickets but four hours of hard refresh and redial got me and my party nowhere yesterday - including friend going into work and putting 5 phones on automatic redial. At 1 pm i got a text from a friend who said i had inspired her to go this year and she was texting me to say thanks and that she had tickets! i rang her and asked if she still had the order page open but she said she didn't and that a friend of a friend had got her the ticket. She e-mailed my friend my registration numbers but in the haste i missed off my debit card details. I heard nothing else and sat the rest of the day thinking how I was going to fill the gap in next year's summer. At 10pm last night my wife said that we had got a confirmation e-mail for our tickets! I have been able to track that my friend sent my numbers to her friend who sent them onto his friend (who she didn't even know) and knowing it was about to sell out he bought my deposits using his own debit card. Personally i cannot believe how someone so removed would do such an act of kindness for someone and it has left me feeling that despite all the tension yesterday and all the anger and frustration - this is why Glastonbury is so special! people put themselves out for others without a thought. How good do I feel and to 'Rory' whoever you are - there are ciders waiting for you at the Cider Bus in June!
