Anyway (perhaps I'm wrong with that), when we met at Glasto, you expressed your surprise that I was friendly (on the basis of what's gone on here between us). Would two conflicting 'rockers' have been able to put aside what I did (and what you clearly felt you couldn't in advance - hence your surprise), or would they be so wrapped up in their image bullshit (as you obviously were when we met) that friendliness was hugely reduced as a possibility?

It's a rhetorical question. Your reaction at Glasto shows what is. Perhaps you should try a little self analysis and place what you find in a more global context than you're managed in this thread?

of course they have their place. i personally don't get the appeal though. for the entertainment on offer, and the price, i'd rather just go camping with a load of mates on the cheap.

It's certainly the case that young 'rockers' have thought themselves friendlier than others for several decades. Yet how many of those who thought that at a young age still feel the same once they've aged some and had a greater amount of life experiences? In my own experience, only those who are so sucked up into a bullshit image idea that they're unable to look at things properly.

Why did you remove Loopallu from my initial post? Surely that falls into the same category? Yet you have been there a couple of times. It doesn't have huge entertainment on offer and the price is more expensive than Alchemy and Bearded Theory

Okay, so there's a pub in Hamilton that's normally an old man-ish pub but on a Monday night they play a 'Mosher' mix and it brings in people who like the heavier kinda music and stuff. They mostly play early 00's Kerrang stuff, nobody's absolute favourite but everyone knows it and has a good time with it.

just cause the bands aren't that big doesn't mean they're shite. although i haven't been to any of these really small festivals yet, i think they probably offer really good value considering the price you pay. the tickets are quite cheap and you don't have to worry about clashes cause there's not many stages, and i can imagine there is a much better atmosphere and a bit more fun than the big festivals. i'm looking forward to going to a few.
