Cheap Mixing Software

Hey Guys,

After many failed attempts of starting up bands due to the fact of the members being too technical (not enough enjoyment) or crap and unreliable- I have decided to do a solo project and I was just wandering if anyone on here knew some cheap mixing software so that I can mix the stuff that I record, I don't really care about anything fancy I just want to be able to mix the songs easily and improve the sound quality a bit but not make it sound too produced (I did a song with my mate "producing" it the other day and it turned out terrible and completely not what I wanted it to sound like!)

As I say I only want a simple audio mixer and that's it! Somebody sent me a link to download wavepad perfectly legally of course and if they could do that again it would be great ;)

hmm, it's hard to get cheap mixing software, but i'd reccomend cubase 3/4. Easy to use/understand (if you've had experience at mixing/production software before) and you can get some really good professional sounds and mixes from it.

I'm using cubase 5 for my music tech coursework and it's a beauty.
