Truly brilliant - now, just don't think you can prance round in denim hotpants and pink Hunters just because you're skinny!

Well done girl.

so true cejx! the olive baton has already been consumed, but shared it with the other half and just had a bit of spread!

did my final weigh in though and another 4lbs off, hurrah! that means a total of 19.5lbs shifted in the pre-festi push, just short of 1.5 stone, i'm really pleased :D

hit my WW10% with that too!

can't wait to get down there now and enjoy walking around without worrying too much about my thighs rubbing together ;)

we're about to hit the road, hope you all have a great festival enjoying your new toned bods!!

Ahhhhaaa...get in!!!

Just refound this thread post G, ran off for a weigh in (depsite eating a fairly large lunch) and discovered I have lost a further 1.3 kilos!!!

The weight loss was noticed by many at the Cider Bus Meet - running around in my lush strapless playsuit probably helped.

As for sticking to the low carb eating plan - I managed it for many days. Had just ONE H&S cider at the bus at the meet and stuck to quaffing my slimline tonic and vodkas.

Whilst trying to stick to the eating plan - I allowed myself one proper moment of processed wheat/white bread weakness - large Hog Roast with a half of H&S on Friday. (The Tartiflette for dinner late on Wednesday was also allowed due to not having eaten since 6am!) Everything else (until Sunday) was healthy food like the lush Malaysian curry with Halloumi and brown rice near PGC and Jerk Chicken wholemeal wrap from Clara's.

BUT...I was fairly naughty on the booze BUT it was the G and with the over compensation with the mud-slogging and a noticeable toning on the legs after just 4 days, I may have over done it a tad on the quaffing of real ale and on return from the G a wee bit of bloating has returned. I did slip a bit by the end of the fest and the best pizza in town on Sunday (half wholemeal though please note) was nommed (also its my only chance to visit them this year and it had to be done) and pasties were consumed for ease on Monday (I had to face the Hill of Death and needed energy and full fat Coke too!)

I am nicely surprised though at how easy it was to stick to finding and eating healthy foods.

The Carb Lovers Diet book is now out by my side and by the G 2013, super Svelte Lucy shall be in attendance.

I gained 1/2lb which considering I had at least 6 ciders a day and had a Kentucky twister brazer and fries with a twix on the journey home followed by a huge dinner of Chicken Tikka rice salad and popadums the night before weigh in, I was very pleased with! I lost 2lb last year but drank hardly any alcohol due to the heat...

After 2 solid weeks of what can only be termed as bingeing, over eating and consuming levels of alcohol that would floor a regular human being, today is the first day back on the wagon. There are no festivals due, no weddings to attend, no impromptu gigs at Milton Keynes Bowl, the booze is packed away again and I spent out of a healthy food cupboard of ingredients to kickstart the healthiness. I still somehow LOST weight over the past 2 weeks but lumpiness has begun to return.

Am very pleased that the weight loss was noticed though. On a push to lose 10 kilos over the summer if not more. Thanks for this thread girls and boys xxx

just wanted to say what a pleasure it was meeting dvjj on the Thursday of Glasto. Very amusing couple of hours by Park stage and your mates were a joy to spend time with as well. Pleased you're still feeling fit and well. my belly has'nt returned, which means my toes are still visable, so all good here. Hope all knees are still functioning well and have a great rest of summer

Lost 2 of the 3lb Glasters gain. It's a lot harder going up than down - and much less fun!

It will be really interesting to see how we all fare over 2 years... as there are a few of us on the weightloss hamster wheel! I think you need to start the 2013 thread...

Hope I'm not annoying anyone and appreciate it's a long way off, but have started a 2013 thread here:

/index.php?showtopic=165363">http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=165363

Felt I needed to write something down so that I have a bit more impetuous to start being properly good :).

(Ok, I know plenty won't be thinking that far ahead, but please do add a post for those that are!)

hi all!

haven't checked out the new thread yet, wanted to have a quick catch up in here.

well done lucy on continuing to lose through your binge! i have had a similar post-festival period: didn't weigh myself as soon as we got back but waited until first day at work. by which time i'd spent about 36 hours lounging in bed eating pizza, crisps, chocolate etc! only time i actually moved from the horizontal was to don a fancy dress and head out to the local thai, where i scoffed full fat coconut soup and a family sized portion of deep fried treats, oops.

after than, i'd gained half a pound, so not actually too bad - must have dropped a couple over the festi. certainly noticed that my legs felt more toned.

thank you so much all of you for helping me stay motivated to try and improve things, even though it was only for a short period in the run up to the festival. i felt SO GOOD for having done it, wandering around in little shorts, really think it boosted my overall self-confidence and happiness.

on the sunday, for the first time EVER at a festival, i even took my top off and just danced in my bikini top - unbelievable - looking back now i can't quite believe i did it but i so enjoyed having the confidence to. sure i probably didn't look anywhere near as good as i would have done had i had the courage to do it as a 17 year old, but i'd say i felt a lot better :-D

some heavy bingeing after the fest, i've really struggled to find my motivation, but weighed myself this morning and i'm back to exactly what i was the night before we headed off so sort of back on the straight and narrow now.

secret garden party this weekend and a wedding next so i really mustn't give in and gain any more!!

glad to hear that everyone had an amazing festival and came home healthy and happy - will head over to the 2013 thread now and see how i like it

BS xx

I haven't really joined in witht his thread, as I wasn't ever planning on going to Glastonbury this year.

But thanks, in major part, to a Facebook group a bunch of mates (festival goers one and all!)created in January, I've lost at least 2.5 stone since January :D

I look better, feel better & I'm actually enjoying doing exercise for the first time ever really, too.

Isn't it amazing how much easier it is to dance which you're lighter on your feet! B)

Well done everyone, just keep on it (I'm saying that to Rabid & I as much as anyone else!)
