Arriving on the Thursday to Leeds fest

I plan to go the festival on thursday morning, however im a bit clueless as to what time to set off.

can somebody give me a rough indication of how long it will take to get INSIDE the festival from Leeds Train Station, if i was to set off from leeds station by car from friends/parents at around 8am?

It's my first time and im just trying to sort out problems for travel,

Probably hours. I cant be sure, as the only time ive been driven, we had to get out and walk. But we was queueng for about an hour in the car. And then another hour walking after that.

My advive is get a taxi or the shuttle bus from leeds train station. So much quicker, and the shuttle is cheap. If youre going with a group then the taxi wont be too expensive either.

It's worth noting the campsite is open from 3am on the Thursday morning if you want to get in while it's quiter.

I would imagine it would be almost dead. Not many people would want to make camp in complete darkness would they?

I got straight in from the drop off point at about midday last year. I was shocked at the lack of queues for cars or pedestrians..

We got str8 in last year and we arrived about 4pm (our friends had sent up or tent on the Wednesday night) but I think the changes int he way you got onto site last yr really worked as we didnt q once to park up etc.
