Lockups. What will they accept?

This is no doubt in a FAQ somewhere, but I did search the official website, and found only:

"- If you're worried about something being stolen, don't leave it in your tent. Essential valuables can be left at the free 24-hour Property Lock-ups which are prominent around the site. They also provide free loo rolls and soap. They are marked on Festival maps with the keyhole logo."

Does this mean they only accept "essential valuables?". If so, what qualifies?

My missus suggested we deposit a slab of beer and a bag of wellies, to free up some space in our little 2-man tent. Will they accept that?

i know what you mean; how do you quantify 'essential valuables'?

However, they will accept pretty much anything; pushbikes, laptops even stashes of booze so you're in business and your missus is ahead of you

Our trolley broke last year, so we dumped a few crates, and some other stuff in the lock up by the gate. Then we only had to make one trip back, and it was a lot easier to carry., Make sure you don't lose the receipt/ticket they give you.

I'm tempted to leave a few cans in each one, then wherever I am on site, I'm not too far from a source of booze, without queuing at a bar.

They will accept ANYTHING,,, bikes, coolboxes, slab of beer (might want to put it in a bin bag...) clean spare clothes, your entire tent (know of a girl who packed everything up each day out of fear).

Just remember to take something to put your valuables in (keys etc) so that you are checking in a 'bag' rather than leaving loose bits in an envelope (they do provide those, just feel safer with a bag).

last year i left my ipod, wallet and car keys with them last year, great service and helpful people, just make sure you keep the ticket. I think i saw bicycles in there last year.

When we had a trailer tent and were outside the fence I used to take a bag with warm clothes and some cans for the evening in with me each morning and pick it up later.

If you leave a slab remember to offer them a can or two when you collect.

They accept pretty much anything. Booze'n'wellies will be fine.

Anything legal I would imagine! We left money and an MP3 player with them, I've seen bags, bikes and all sorts. Got some friends doing one of the lock ups - its CND who run em (so no nukes k?)
