i knew that this game would end up papering over the cracks. the facts are, the spain games don't matter. 0 points out of 6 were expected and 0 points out of 6 are what we'll get. the 4 games against czechs and lithuania are the key. so far we have 1 out of 6. if we don't end up with 7 out of 12, the levein has failed. hence, jury's out.

This is what annoys the f**k out of me about the czech game.

For the first time in 10 years we have four or five forwards at the top of their game.

and yet that happens...

Played well tonight. lots of positives against bar far the best team right now in the world.

McGregor has been superb- must be number one now. Adam was good tonight as well, much more effective than McCulloch. McMannus can just simply f**k off.

As has been mentioned above 11 months to the next game.

From the replays I saw it looked like it hit him on the underside of his upper arm. Will need to see it again but I dont think we can have any complaints.

What if it stops a cross to a wide open player in the centre? Not a penalty by your rules?

Just to add from last night, watching the game in 3D was shiiiite. Gave up after 25 minutes. It might have been ok but they only had 3 camera angles, 1 behind each goal, and the main camera was lower than the normal broadcast camera so you couldnt see anything on the far side of the pitch. Has potential but to be honest I'll stick to old 2D for the time being :P

Are you going to the game mate? I've managed to pull a few strings and blagged myself a half day on Sat so I'm heading through to meet Fraser & hopefully get a few pints in before the game. :)

Excellent, I'll definately be going for a few beforehand. I alrerady asked Stewart, he can't go as he's looking after his parents house I think.

Well that's what he says, I recon he's just running scared.

    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
