Arcade Fire

Just me who preferred Neon Bible to Funeral? Obviously both were brilliant, but Funeral's got a couple of tracks I really dislike, so Neon Bible edges it for me. A lot of the reviews I've read for The Suburbs seem to act like there was some massive backlash against Neon Bible, which I wasn't aware had ever happened.

If you want an idea of Arcade Fire setlists for their US tour at the moment and an idea of what to expect (esp with regards to stuff from the new album that will be played) at Reading then check this out -

so happy to see that they are playing Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

If they play at Reading what they played in Montreal at the weekend then I will die a very happy man indeed :rolleyes:

I think it is their best album to be honest, When I got the album I thought 16 songs there are going to be a few fillers, and now I can honestly say there is only one song out of the sixteen I am not to sure on, Modern man, Suburban war, The suburbs, Ready to start and no celebration are the best tracks to me.

I find I generally like all the songs on all the albums bar the ones that the woman (im rubbish with names) is the main singer on - 'mountains beyond mountains' on this one and I just can't stand 'in the backseat' from funeral!

On another note I don't really care if they do an arctic monkeys and play mainly their new album as it is bloody fantastic!

Sprawl II is so good. Always felt that the tracks where Regine is on lead vocals have been the weakest Arcade Fire songs. Sprawl II more than makes up for it now. Empty Room is real good as well

Really tempted to stay up for the web show thing on Thursday. My job isn't that important, sure they won't mind me sleeping at my desk all day

I really like the new album, favourite songs are City with no children, Empty room and Ready to Start (but I haven't listened to some of the songs towards the end of the album as many times yet)

Was hoping to hear Antichrist television blues at Reading, but that looks unlikely.

Ah well, its going be brilliant.

Originally thought it'd be a small headline crowd but they seem to have got a much bigger fan base with this album which is good to see.
