taking in drink

If your talking about drugs, don't do 'em. Especially don't put them in your socks, dogs have trouble smelling above waist line, but in your socks? that's a field day.

If your talking about taking drink into the campsite - the only difficult thing is carrying it all. You're allowed to take drink in. In all seriousness though, stick to cans and plastic bottles. Taking in glass could ruin it for someone if they get cut buy your rubbish (it might not even be you that smashes it, but your brought it in)

As for drink into the arena - I just spent 5 min typing my fool proof plan, but I've decided to keep it a secret. Although a couple of suggestions include wine bags from wine boxes strapped to your body or plastic bottles full of spirits held under your jumper with the bottle upside down held in with your belt.

an easy tip for getting spirits into th arena:

get a litre of volvic UNOPENED.

get a craft knife and cut away the plastic tabs on the inside of the security ring

unscrew the lid and the security ring comes off with it in one piece.

you can take unopened bottles of water into the arena, the security just check if the lids intact.

best thing about this tip is, wen you've destroyed the vodka/bacardi\silver tequila, stick the lid in ur pocket and use it again!

EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL! :P

Yip basically is all you can carry and try avoid glass bottles. The guys at the gate just have a wee quick look over but dont tend to mind much but just like everywhere else you could get that one guy who decides to be a killjoy. What i'v done the last few years is got a grannie trolley and filled it to the brim. (don't trust those sleds) :P

    • I’d expect U2 & Muse to be options too.
    • I see there's yet another article doing the rounds about Madonna doing BST, and not Glastonbury.   That could be right, but given there'll be plenty of tickets to shift for BST, could it not just be false info doing the rounds to protect that?? Not that I think Madonna would struggle to shift tickets, or that Glastonbury would have that much impact, but still - would probably still make sense to protect ticket sales when it's announced?
    • Given BST recently I wouldn't expect it as rock heavy as that. I kinda am expecting it'd be where The Cure play though as I'm expecting a second year touring of them
    • Id suggest they would need another new album before they play again - Otherwise the show is going to probably be very similar to the one they played at the last festival.
    • Absolutely not, I dont know of it selling out but they needed TFG and Skyvip to shift them. Biffy aren't either and they didn't go to TFG and I wouldn't say Kasabian are either and they sold it out the quickest. Liam Gallagher did Finsbury Park as well and subbed the Pyramid Stage, Noah Kahan did two nights at BST and subbed the Pyramid though that's a rare one. Finsbury itself will definitely not grant you top spot, that field can hold 100k      That's fair. I'm definitely in the camp myself that Fender and Harry are most likely.
