i'm not sure whether or not to take my phone and camera.

i want to take my camera not really for the bands but for stuff in the night; drunken with my friends and stuff (and we have a locker ticket) so i could technically keep that in the locker during the day.

and my phone, i want to take obviously to ring like my mum and stuff (i'm 17) and if i get lost and lose my friends or whoever i'm with, and some people want me to ring them during certain songs (although i'm not that arsed about them)

is it a good idea to take them, is it really as bad as people make out? will they just get robbed or whatever? what should i do alternatively?

I just buy disposable camera's, the quality might not be as great but tbh it does the trcik fine at festivals and no-one gonna nick it :P

As for phone you really do need to take one, and its more a problem of losing them than getting them nicked

If you take an old one though should be fine :P

I had a locker last year, was brill. Great for keeping ID etc in there.

I took my phone and camera last year and just kept them in my bag the whole time and it was fine

But yeah you do deff need a phone. Maybe if its an Ipod or blackberry or something, get a cheap pay as you go.

Also, if you buy a car charger for you phone you can charge them in the locker. That was a life saver last year.

Aslong as you dont get it out all the time infront of loads of people, show off with it or leave it places you should be fine

Cheap phone all the way :P Im taking a reasonably good phone this year, but I want a new phone so dont care how damaged it gets, and it has a really good battery life on it. Depending on your enthusiasm when seeing bands, if you want it double secure, I saftey pin my pockets shut to keep my phone inside them. One less thing to worry about.

I take a film camera with me, although drunken changing of film often means f**king up photos. As for phone, I took mine last year and lost it (fell out pocket of sweat pants on way to campsite dj, stupid me) BUT it was HELL the next 2 days when I lost my friends.. so this year i'm just buying a cheap phone, and gonna keep it in a pouch round my neck or something.

    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
