Doesn't mean the hope isn't warranted.

Why would you emigrate? Don't you live in the land where everyone hates England because we raped your sheep 900 years ago? Surely you'll be in good company? Ask ampers for a spare Algeria top. He's got loads from the back of a van, apparently. He did his back in carrying all the boxes. Karma is a bitch sometimes.

It's quite interesting how many supposed 'experts' of the game - current pros, ex-pros, journalists - both English and non-English - are saying we should do quite well this summer.

Yep, they always say that .... and we never do as well as they reckon.

Strange that eh? :lol::lol:

So there you have it. Sven's team.

Any reason why it won't be Sven's results?:lol:

It's bleeding obvious that that's the plan.

So we'll be thankful for getting a draw at the end of 90 minutes.

And then HUGE nerves against Algeria.

And then the plane home.

double or quits neil?

put your money where your mouth is. i will put your money where my mouth is!!

we will be in the last 16. no doubt about it!!

I'm not saying that will be how things pan out.

I'm saying it's easily possible. More possible than your guarantee of getting out of the groups, that's for sure.

Seeing as you're giving those guarantees, I've sussed you as being Rafa, and I claim my five pounds. :P

    • Pressure will be shifted to Israel, but don't think anything is going to happen this side of the election.
    • It's encouraging news, but Israel's withdrawal from Gaza will very much depend on how credible Hamas's commitment to completely disarm is.   In my view they are right to be skeptical.
    • Now we’ll see if Israel are actually capable of winding their necks in    I doubt it
    • Policing is very relaxed, provided you stay within your lines I'd say. I don't think we're supposed to have an event shelter as well as a tent next to our van, but we've done it without issue for years. It's a happy vibe up there.
    • Do feel a lot more cynical about the Mercury now. Given the awards show is now an arena event, there's clearly a pressure on them to nominate mainstream acts in order to sell tickets for it. And not saying that Jade and Knats don't deserve to be nominated (haven't listened to either), but the fact the event is in Newcastle can't have nothing to do with that... (not to mention Fender winning last year, which frankly was a joke)    Hard not to agree with this: https://www.clashmusic.com/features/this-years-mercury-prize-is-a-pivot-towards-the-mainstream/
