Luggage on the coach/train

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this post has been made before... I have searched for 'coaches' and 'trains' and 'travel' but I haven't been able to find the answer to this specific question.

This year for the first time I will be taking public transport to Glasto, in previous years I've driven. I can't be arsed with the hassle of driving and the idea of being able to drink as much cider as I like on the Sunday is a very attractive one. However, I'm really worried about being limited in how much stuff I can take on the coach/train (I haven't decided which one I'm taking yet). I'm not talking about excessive amounts, so I'll have a rucksack/sleeping bag that sort of stuff but then I also want to take some beers, will they allow me to take a small trolley? I got one off Brixton market last year and it folds down so it shouldn't take up too much space.

Has anyone tried to take this sort of thing on the train or on the coach before? How much luggage did you manage to get on? Did you get any hassle from any official types? Or even worse did you have to leave stuff behind?

Thanks so much lovely Glasto people! :P

National Express have a limit of 2 bits of luggage each at 50lbs each, as well as hand luggage. Also buggies etc can be stored. On your own I can't see anyone having that much. I go on train and there is a similar limit but i have never seen it enforced. 100lbs of hand luggage is a hell of a weight to say the least.

I wouldn't worry, you will be fine.

I went on the train last year and was fine with a huge rucksack, stupid round pop up tent and a silly old lady shopping trolley full of cider.

The silly old lady shopping trolley was a god send I will add :-)
