god this is getting boring. Remember people they are not planning the whole line up around you.

I am over the moon with dizzee rascal and scissor sisters including their slot.

Could not give a damn about U2 in fact I hate them and loads of other acts, but I am not bitching on about if they should play.

These words have been said before :

if you don't like it go somewhere else there is plenty of stuff to do.

I think it's terrible news. Truly shocking. It's up there with the atrocities in Rwanda, the Beslan school siege, the Vietnam war and Mark McGhee keeping Steve Bull and Robbie Keane on the bench for the FA Cup Semi Final against Arsenal in 1998.

Certainly worthy of yet another thread.

A lot of people thought that he was going to be an Other Stage Headliner, and I don't think too many people would have had a problem with that. I'd put the Pyramid support slot and the Other Stage headline slot on about a par with one another. I think its just about right for him

he was brilliant last year

i went along as my missis wnated to see him and was taken in by what a complete showman he is.

he's arguably one of the biggest acts in the uk at the moment and on those 2 facts alone, totally deserves his spot.

bonkers will be, well, bonkers!!

having said that, i'll be elsewhere

I know!! What the hell like? He so should be headlining!! Come on give a guy a chance Mr Evais!! U2 have had their day, (soooooooo 20 year ago!) let them play behind Dizze instead..........

*goes off to start a facebook group to get Dizze bumped to headline slot*

Okay, there was no need to dis The Eavis, I'll take that back.

But they made the hype themselves, so it shouldn't have to be put aside, the line up should reflect the fact it's a 40 year anniversary.

Don't get me wrong, I was expecting something ultra-special for the 40th - I think even the cheerleaders, if they're honest with themselves were secretly hoping for a Led Zep reunion or the Stones.

As it is the really special bookings, U2 and Stevie, are not right up my street but I recognise their quality and I'm not going to complain just because they aren't to my taste.

Also thinking about it logically, they are always trying to create the best possible lineup they can, there's no reason why for the 40th they were suddenly going to be able to put together a lineup that would blow all previous ones out of the water.

    • It's a smart move because week after 5 fests already confirmed: Download (not officially), Nova Rock, Greenfield, Mystic, Sweden Rock
    • Oh I 100% agree and I'm questioning a lot.
    • That would be a day ticket for Friday going based on that. In 2027 that would suck for me lol.
    • And it's been moved forward a week, same weekend as RaR
