My favourite band of all time is playing at my favourite festival.

What could be better than that?

Okay. Please tell me why I'm not allowed to rate the line up so highly? Aren't my musical tastes good enough? Have I not applied for a license to have the perfect musical tastes, as specified by the Wanderlei book of perfection?

Is it because I don't like The Smiths?

Did Stevie Wonder piss on your cat?

I think anyone who gave it a 10 out of 10 is ignorant. Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Smiths and Elvis Presley wouldn't have improved on this line-up then? lol

I think it's you who needs a lesson on what a perfect line-up would be. You have led a very musically sheltered life.

think it's you who needs a lesson on what a realistic line up is. None of those bands or acts you mention actually exist anymore.

I think for a lot of people the line-up and the number of acts they want to see is greater than it has been in all their years of going to Glasto. It is for me, certainly. Based on that, a high score is merited.

First of all, how would Stevie Wonder locate my cat?

Secondly, if you think the line-up is "absolutely perfect", go ahead and give it a ten. Do you actually think it's perfect though? I mean seriously...

And i'm going to say this again: a LIKE the line-up. There are people on here who said it was crap. Quit picking on me!!!! lol

Yeah, realistically a 10 out of 10 line-up is impossible...so why are people giving it a 10 out of 10.

I think the line-up looks pretty good (especially when you consider Leftfield and the Braggster are going to be thrown in there too).

But like i said, a festival can look rubbish on paper but then be an amazing experience. Even if this festival is a '10' as a lot of you seem to be saying, it won't necessarily be the best one. So i think you're dwelling on it too much.

I'm just going to take it as it comes and soak in all the cool bands that are there.

Russycarps. Now HERE'S someone who is picking on me lol. Quit stalking!

I'm not 'picking' on you dude - I'm debating this with you. I'm pleased you like it - truly - but my gripe is because you seem to think those of us who have rated the line up so highly are 'ignorant' because our tastes (and it would seem our scoring system) are different to yours. If someone said 'I give it a 1 because they're not to my tastes' then that's different

All i'm saying is, is there no way this festival could be improved in your opinion?

I fully support it. There is always supposed to be 'something for everyone' in the lineup, which means people will be winners or losers in how much there is for them. If this lineup is that great for you then I'm made up for you, glasto '99 lineup was an 11 for me :P

I still don't get how someone saying "I really like what there is on the bill" could be told they are wrong :P the clue is "I like", not "I expect everyone else to like and if they don't they are wrong".

No right and wrong in taste, opinions are like a*seholes, everyone has one and all the other classic clichés we love to drag out.

actually you are right. There is a way the festival can be improved.

If someone can give me a guarantee that you are involved in a horrific longdrop incident involving you falling into a million turds and having to be airlifted to the nearest exotic disease clinic then yes, the festival could be improved.

I concede the point.

Yes - we could have 30 degree heat and not a drop of rain.

Megan Fox could sit on my face (only on the Wednesday though).

I could win the lottery on the Saturday.

England could win both games 5-0.

I could be given free drinks all weekend at the cider bus for being a smashing bloke.

I don't think all of these will happen. I daresay none of them will happen. So that's how I felt when The Bees, Tunng, Kloot, U2, Stevie and many, many more acts I love were all confirmed.

:P
