Hello

Has anyone heard any news or seen this years site map.

I am sure last year it came out quite early. I’m a bit of a geek and always look forward to seeing what’s new, changed ect.

I think the crew camping over the railway lines is going to become a new late night area, and the recent licence application mentioned expanding the site for more camping areas, Leftfield is also back, but I don’t know if Williams Green is going, or leftfield will have a new area, so it should be a little bit different this year.

Enjoy the sun.

Cant wait for the new map! Its up there with the clashfinder in the things I nerdishly wait for each year!

I hope they bring back the Cinema field near the John Peel and Woodies and have the "special camping" for vips, or what ever they are, somewhere else not causing so much bloody trouble! :P

BTW Langdale I thought the cinema was very busy last year with them not having the outdoor one. I saw major queing going on several times, when in years past the indoor cinema was never that busy when I went past it unless it was raining (but sure that wont happen this year! :P )

My mate wants to know if you can use an oyster card on the monorail?

Remember if you're buying a monorail multi-day pass instead of single-day tickets, unless you're a staff member and you're going to be there longer than the 6 main days of the festival (wed-mon) then don't mistakenly buy the monthly pass. You'll only be wasting the remaining 3 weeks and it'll be hard to flog on your month pass to the staff for anything close to the remaining face value as the staff get a workers discount anyway. Somebody should petition them to actually remove the monthly pass tickets from the main ticket hall displays.

I notice from that map that underneath Wicket Ground it says family camping.

I camped at Wicket last year, and was hoping to do the same again this year. I liked it because it was a little quieter and out of the way, so I was able to get a bit of sleep (I am getting old you see).

However, none of our party actually have kids, so is this no longer an option for us?

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
