Line Up Resembling a Reunion Festival?

I really don't know why this topic arises time and time again.

When is the line up going to be confirmed?

Have 'such and such' confirmed yet?

Blah blah effing blah ....

In my (rather humble) opinion, if it really bothers you that much spend your well earned cash on a ticket to V ....

I know its becoming a cliche (sorry, don't know how you do the accent thingy's!?!), but Glastonbury is so much more. If it wasn't the line up would be released before ticket day and all those U2 groupies would rush to buy a ticket and then leave that night leaving a very sad & empty Worthy Farm ....

I'd hardly class U2 as reunion gig? I don't think they've ever split up, and they are touring a new album.

I think it's an incredibly daft thread. I've never understood the fascination with the new. If we've had sixty years or so of popular music releases, the chances are that the best ones won't have been in the last twelve months or so. Simple probabilities dictate it's highly unlikely that the best ones won't have been released in the last twelve months or so.

But anyone who uses 'lol' etc on Spazzbook or in a post is just being lazy or doesn't mind looking exceptionally stupid. Putting 'lol' at the end of a sentence translates to 'I have nothing whatsoever to say, and you might as well ignore everything I wrote before I decided to type this immature bollocks that make me look 14'.

But it's a code for a picture. So it's not the same thing at all. It doesn't appear on the page the same, does it? It has a different function.

I can't be bothered reading the rest of the thread, by the looks of the few posts above, it's turned into petty squabbling (as a lot of threads seem to be doing just now.)

But in my opinion, the lineup doesn't resemble a "reunion" festival, because so many legends are playing, it represents a legendary festival. Quite a fitting image, for Glastonbury IMO.

Yes - that was very sharp, quick and almost bordering on witty.

I don't use the pretty pictures to display any signs of 'maturity'. They're message board emoticons. Codes. But they're displayed as pictures. But they still look better than some w**ky meaningless jumble of letters that are written by people trying to appear 'cool'.

To me, 'lol' is nothing but lazy, stupid, ignorant and childish. It doesn't mean anything. It's simply written down because some thick twat couldn't be bothered to write 'ha ha' or something after they were amused, because typing is SUCH a hassle. And they shouldn't be writing 'ha ha' either, to be bluntly honest.

People who can't be arsed to type using proper words shouldn't be allowed to own hands and fingers. Emoticons aren't words.

Not that this has anything to do with the topic, but the word 'gay' has just really shifted semantically, like it did in the past when going from being 'happy' to 'homosexual.' I don't think the majority of people who use that word in a negative context are referring to the homosexual meaning these days. Those who do are idiots.
