Oh right, I thought you meant it was all standing.

It was the same at Earl's Court, when Nick came out the place went nuts. Possibly one of the coolest concert moments I've experienced. :P

It's far too moany and whingy, I'm afraid. There are some moments of subliminal genius in there, but for me they are far and few. And I honestly think Another Brick in the Wall Part II is probably worst thing the full proper band ever committed to record. It makes me cringe. Seriously yuck.

Best album ever? It wouldn't even make my post SB top five Floyd albums.

Glorious. And it's possibly my favourite opening track to an album ever:

"So ya thought ya might like to go to the show

To feel the warm thrill of confusion, that space cadet glow"

Phroar.

List of best post Syd PF albums

3 - The Final Cut

2 - The Wall

1 - Any other post Syd PF album, including Ummagumma.

I won't be in attendence. In fact I find it rather annoying, because normally I'd see Roger.

I never listen to any Floyd post Dark Side of the Moon. I thought they got unbearably boring after that. I like the opening few notes to Shine On .. but lord, does it go on.... and on :P

been listening to Obscured By Clouds again lately

f**k me. Is it really called that? A friend of mine did me a copy on a tape when it came out - that's what we did instead of ripping stuff back in the day, and instead of Watching TV, he wrote "Yellow Rose" on it.

And that's the only copy of it I've ever had.

Makes me wonder how many other song titles I've got wrong.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
