New stage...but very small...big dissapointment

The line up this year just keeps getting worse and worse!! Now with the possible un-tbc of Gil Scott Heron this festival is looking rather bland!! I watched Blur at Glasto last night and thought to myself, nothing will ever beat that but then I suppose i will spend my tine exploring more this year and hopefully will discover new things but would have really liked a decent headliner!

How do you know it's a big dissapointment if this is it's first year?

I agree that Rolf was not Jazz or Blues. But he was very entertaining and great fun.

So simples, put Rolf on the Pyramid in the afternoon (Jazzworld was rammed when he played last time), and make space for some real Jazz and Blues on JazzWorld.

Well...They say themselves they have a very small budget,so to me its not looking very good...ok they have to start somewhere i know, but all they needed to do was use the Jazz World stage properly,and put better Jazz and Blues acts on, instead of Rolf Harris...

I believe that the stage formerly known as Jazzworld is planning on coming back bigger and better in its new guise, doing all of the same things it's always tried to do.

Regarding Rolf, I'm pretty sure that wasn't a Jazzworld booking but an act that Michael or his top team foisted on that stage (as many acts have been over the years, including Orbital, Joan Armatrading and others) as an act that the festival wanted performing somewhere, but where a suitable slot elsewhere couldn't be found.

Things like this happen to all stages at times, because it's Michael's festival and in his control despite the stages being run as essentially autonomous little empires.
