I went to V a few years ago (just the sat). Desperately wanted to see DC. Ended up rammed in the middle of the 'beer token' queue for almost 2hrs, they kept running out of tokens . Completely missed the set .....

When I lived in London, a friend of mine rented Neil Hannon's flat near Highgate. It was great - the door to the bedrooms was a false bookcase that you opened by twisting a book. There was also a woodshed in the garden - dunno if it was the one though...

I heard that they were fantastic at Latitude last year - I have family in Ireland who have seen them play live frequently - They have been around for years - I would miss Faithless to see them.

Doesn't surprise me - I remember him sitting down during their Glasto set in 2004 (or was it 2005?) and inviting the ayudience to enjoy listening to 'his' band.

The Divine Comedy have such a back catalogue - yet remain undiscovered on the whole.

Really well written - really tongue in cheek - bit perculiar - perfect for glastonbury -

no thanks! they are nearly(very nearly) as shite, as belle and sebastian, each to their own i suppose, but i find it disgusting that a guy as talented as neil, wasted it all on a band like the divine comedy!

I had thought that the band were mostly session musos - I know his generally doesnt go down well with some.
