Sub-Headliners

I'm beginning to get the feeling that MCR, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 will all be sub-headliners as all three are clearly not major headlining material. Why would efestivals choose to reveal headliners ahead of schedule? It just defeats the purpose of having the whole lineup revealed a month later. I'm just going to keep my hopes up that there will be a few surprises in store including top quality headliners!

Anyone agree?

efestivals has no connection with FR whatsoever so when they get the headliners early they will of course try to get the information out. This will no doubt increase their traffic on the page, which probably means they can charge more for ads and the website is in a much better financial position to continue.

And ffs can everyone stop with the denial Arcade Fire ad Blink 182 are definitly headlining and it's pretty certain that MCR are!!!!!!!

If they were to lie, than when future rumours were to come from efestivals than people aren't going to visit and their reputation will suffer from not only any new visitors but from members already. They will only gain traffic in the short term. I.e when I hear about a rumour from virtual festivals, I won't go to the site because I have little confidence in it and I'm sure others don't.

When these bands turn out to be true I'm sure that you and others will stick about and continue to visit the site for other rumours involving this years line up and probably following years. They've got it right in the past and I'm sure they'll continue to do so. I.e their visiting numbers increase in the long term.

That's a fair enough interpretation of the situation I suppose. Maybe i'm just being a bit too optimistic about having bigger headliners. Then again, I still believe at least one of the three won't headline. One can only dream!

:P

    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
