Ooh, you naughty boy!!

I was trying not to sound too condescending and you go and ruin it all!! :P

Well I've learned something new today. I didn't quite understand the details with V, and am quite shocked by how bad it sounds. Can anyone stick up for it? (Not that I'm contemplating going, just to level up the debate).

slough on a saturday night when the highstreet boozers kick out and there are 15 knife crimes, 30 odd other assaults, and random spitting.

id rather be in slough, i may get stabbed, punched and spat at but i wont be covered in some chavs piss! :P

I have to say the two biggest d*** heads I have seen in last few years have been at Glasto.

One tried to sexually assault my mate when my back was turned after Editors the other year - if you want the full story let me know

The second was last year - around 6.00 am , some lad ( i guess he had been rebuked or something )

was going round kicking all the bins in the market place , if they did not fall over with a kick he pushed them over and spilt all the contents all round the stalls !

Biggest Chav tning I have seen af V ( and this is true ) was about 4 years ago. On the Thursday

night we had a wander into the arena for a nosey etc , and up by one of the fences a girl had a jeans

pulled down and lets just say the lad was stood behind her with his jeans down - oblivious to

everything !

:P:P:P

I've just gone into the V thread. I wouldn't post anything in there, because they seem very happy bunnys.

So............ Is this a typical day at V?

You queue to get into the arena.

You get searched before entering the arena

You queue up to buy tokens to buy beer

You queue up again to use tokens to buy beer

You drink beer. It's shit beer.

You queue up again to use tokens to buy beer

You run out of tokens, so you queue up to buy tokens to buy beer

You queue up again to use tokens to buy beer

You drink beer. It's shit beer.

No chance I don't think considering Frank Black/Black Francis' recent voicings...

He added: "Whatever will happen...if people really wanna know what's gonna happen with the Pixies, they need to talk to promoters and agents. That's where the business is right now - in the live market. And they're the ones that decide all this shit. So whatever is going to happen - whether they tell us directly or in an indirect way because they feel like they have to manipulate us - they're the ones who know.

"We're interested in anything that's going to earn us a fair wage. It's not to say it's not about art, but we made that art f**king twenty years ago. So forget the f**king goddamn art. This ain't about the art anymore. I did the arty farty part. Now it's time to talk about the money. How much do you think we should sell the tickets for? Where do you think we should play? How many shows do you think we should play?"

    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
    • went to their album launch show last night at the george tavern. it was fantastic! absolutely roasting in there though
    • I got mine yesterday but they sent the wrong ticket link, so had to email Ticketmaster and get the right one.    As for predictions, hard to see who else could do the Pulp/Sting/Byrne slot other than the Cure, and since they did Isle of Wight they maybe have an FR deal (Sting did both). It’s also the Cure’s 50th next year so imagine they’ll be doing a bigger tour. Pet Shop Boys or Kylie maybe?   Wolf Alice would be a dream. It’ll probably all be men again though.
    • Probably a couple of months yet....last ticket sale announcement was 10th October 2024.
