I knew you'd start a thread for Deftones sooner or later :P:P

That links weird, it takes me to gunsrazorsknives then re-directs to Wbr.com?! (which looks trash) without me doing anything...

I heard the miniscule clip on their myspace earlier - sweet riff!

I wanted to see Deftones in 2006, but when I found they were clashing with Cathedral, who had then recently said they had considered calling it a day, I felt I had more chance of catching Deftones in future than I did with Cathedral. Hence I spent just 15 minutes watching Deftones, most of which I was looking nervously at the clock on my phone as to when to time my move to the third stage. So needless to say, they didn't keep my attention.

However, I'm still quite the Deftones fan, so I'm looking forward to seeing them again this year, and I think they'll put on a good show.

I've seen them four times..

Download 06 - I liked them then, but looking back it was their worst show..

Bristol Carling 07/08? Brutal brutal brutal! Sound not great..

London 09 - INCREDIBLE. Everything was perfect!

Reading 09 - Awesome, but not quite as good as the night before (London gig) for reasosn already said by Budweiser.

They will be slick! :P

They can be hit or miss live... but I downloaded a vid of their set form Area4 festival last year.... they were really good.

I think the time the Deftones go on at could make a huge difference.... If they get the slot before Rage, sun going down, everyone buzzing, I think they'll rip the place up.

If they're on during the day I dont think they'll go down as well.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
