They were great, and some of the nicest people I've met in the music biz.

He did quite a few festivals last year with Tim Goldsworthy from DFA records.

At Glastonbury 1995, when I was about 20 and wet behind the ears, we were sat up at our campsite late at night, when a bloke wanders over and says "Mind if I sit at your fire lads?". So we welcomed him. He seemed terribly old to us, but I imagine he was only mid 40s.

He told us that he was the man who'd originally signed Bis to Chemikal Underground. We thought this was the coolest thing ever.

I've no idea now whether he was bullshitting us.

Used to see Manda Rin every Saturday night in Barfly Glasgow before it closed.

Nice girl, not a huge fan of the band but they're not bad.

I used to give out flyers at loadsa gigs and I must say that Bis were some of the nicest people I met doing the job.

Didn't like their music, but some very genuine people who would chat away and offer you a drink. didn't happen that often.
