Reading OR Leeds

I do realise that Temple Newsam was near the City Centre but agai it also had the feel of being away in a field where at Reading you are quite clearly right next to a town centre, so much some of the late night entertainment is in a nearbye sports centre. :lol

Yeah, I guess that would be one of the advantages of Reading being in a town centre, if you're bored and no bands are on you could just go for a pint somewhere. Whereas at Leeds you have a choice of: A) Watching bands and Sitting in the campsite.

Temple Newsam is near Colton Retail Park and from what I hear people would do beer runs from the Sainsbury's there, or go for a MacDonald's if they got fed up of overpriced chips, which would have come in handy.

As we went by train to Reading, I found having Tesco a ten minute walk away a massive convenience. Carrying a weekends alcohol and food would have been tricky, as one of our group who refused to listen to our advice found out!

I'm pretty much in the middle of Reading and Leeds though, so I may well end up at Leeds one year in the future.

I have! Once. Saturday night at Reading last year, I went to the silent disco - shite music, no atmosphere, so had a sit down, got my phone out and posted on here how shite it was

I used to go to Reading 01-03 but have been Leeds in 07 & 08. I think I prefer readings arena but atmos is dreadful. Download shits on em both for atmos, arena and lineup in my opinion mind. Oh and even that pales in comparison to glasto.

Well I live in Leicester so pretty much in the middle I'd say. Think I'll give it a go just to compare as you say.
