Hmmm gotta say based on who is doing all the European festivals there doesn't seem to be a lot of options out there for V just yet

Theres just

Rammstein - NO

Iron Maiden - NO

The Strokes - MAYBE - But probs playing Reading

Green Day - MAYBE

Pearl Jam - NO

Muse - MAYBE but doubt it

Jay Z - MAYBE

Kiss - NO

Kasabian - Looking likely

f**k me!, here’s a new idea! Let’s not copy other festivals, and go for somebody else.

Last week you were bizarrely arguing that V Festival had enough money to reunite the Smiths. Now your saying they haven’t got enough money to get Pearl Jam back over the ocean in August?, or lure the Cure out of their houses, or any of the other suggestions?.

    • With this being a fallow year do we know if the Beeb is going to show any past years highlights or make sets available on Iplayer to give us some glasto content as we await a return to the fields?

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
