The way I see it...

Glastonbury = Phenomenal

Bands I don't want to see = Meh

Bands I want to see = Awesome

SO

Glastonbury + Bands I don't want to see = Phenomenal + Meh

Glastonbury + Bands I want to see = Phenomenal + Awesome

Its just a question of algebra :P

Bring back the old days! jump the fence and find out whos playing when you hear them start!

I hate all the guitar music so its not a prob, I just go wherever the party is at, means you got all round the site and there's always good dance music or hip hop etc at loads of places during the day and all night, means you aren't a slave to a stupid timetable.

I know we're all excited, that Glastobating is accepted practice round here and I don't mean to piss on anyone's chips with this but here goes.

Whilst there's no doubt that a big part of Glasto is the music, I really don't mind who is/isn't playing - particularly on the main stages. There's so much to see, hear, do, drink and so many people to talk to that I'd go even if I was banned from seeing any of the musical artists. It's such a weird and wonderful place.

There's actually a part of me that wishes some of the acts/headliners on the main stages aren't to my liking so I can wander around elsewhere without feeling conflicted.

(I would however still be angry if Madonna played on principle).

Surely I'm not the only one?

    • Ok, ok, I have done it! Not because of limitless upvoats but to support the Efestivals site.
    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
