How pants is the timing of this? I thought the tickets would be out like February and so I have like now pennies to pay for this. Pay day is 2 weeks away and I have just filled my credit card up on a 3 week holiday in the States!! I wonder if my family and friends will mind waiting til January for their Xmas presents?! :P

I knew I was right

Just checked my emails

Booked the 08 February 2009

You purchased 2 tickets to:

________________________________________________________________________________

_____________

Download 2009 - Weekend with Camping

Donington Park, Derby,

Fri 12 Jun 2009 - Sun 14 Jun 2009

Order for:

Seat location: section TICKET

Total Charge: £294.95

So that worked out at £147.475 each INCLUDINGdelivery and service charge

BOY they've jacked the price up this year

I arrived early too so If I was to buy the same tickets again this year it would come to £365.25!!!

A RISE OF £70!!!!

Thats INSANE!!!

So early bird on average costs each person an extra £35 this year, thats a crazy increase, they better have a f**king awesome line up for that rise in ticket price

The price I paid above in the email was last years early bird price.

They're offering them at last years standard price [after the early bird expired] plus an extra £10 on top of that per ticket

They aren't false advertising, it just seems so much more expensiove compared to last year, what is the standard ticket for a couple for this year total going to come to, like £400?

its inflation, i remember when download was a 2day event and i'm sure tickets where £90 shit happens the festival has got bigger and so have the bands, bigger bands ask for more cash plus you need to consider how much it costs a band to take all there crew and gear to play a set at a festival.
