Primavera Sound is by far the best festival of 2010! Because of the college I won't go there, I hope I will go next year.

thanks for that. i take it the acts playing in miro park are on quite early due to the fact the festival starts and ends quite late. av been to euro festivals before so i know the drill. but have u got any idea about what sort of time these bands will be playing? i know that they are all playing the festival too, but it would nice to see the likes of smith westerns and dum dum girls twice. i am however concerned about my longevity in this situation, as i tend to burn the candle at both ends at these things. might it be quite hard going the whole hog? is it better to be selective in these cases?

also, is there any way u kno of aquiring show times before hand? i assume u get a programme when u arrive at the actual festival, but is there any way of finding out times for the pre festival activities, or the festival even? i'm not too worried as i am in barcelona for 10 days before hand. but i better get organised now, cause there wont be much of that going on when i get there!

i was reading on the website that to get into the Auditori u have to buy tickets each day of the festival. how does this work, do u have to pay to see individual bands once u get into the festival?! also, does that mean that some people wont get in to see bands if the tickets sell out?

The tickets for the auditori guarantee you entry for 2euro. Theres always a few seats not reservable if you want to queue and try your luck but for 2euro just get the ticket. You may want to get there around 6pm on the day as well to guarantee you get a ticket as I believe the capacity is 3000. They won't let you in if its over capacity. PS you'd want to LOVE the bands in the auditori as the popular ones inevitably run late and result in you queuing for far longer than you planned missing other stuff but it is a marvellous venue and it is usually easy enough to walk into the earlier gigs so worth checking out at least once.

so do u pay 2 euros at the start of the day when u get into the festival, and then u can go in the auditori whenever u want? or do u have to pay for each individual band? how many bands play in there? i am very confused.

i assumed buying the 3 day festival ticket was enough to see whatever band i wanted, without have to worry about buying further tickets and standing in queues!

Anyways, the Cold Blooded Clarity site has started their build up to Primavera....think its just an excuse for them to stick Youtube vids up of the bands but if you havent heard of an act, it could be a good way to check them out.

the stage plan is interesting but as long as we don't know the exact playing times it isn't really useful, isn't it?

sorry about asking again but I haven't got this yet. If I want to see Low, Hope Sandoval and Junip on Friday in the Auditorium, I have to buy ONE ticket for 2 euro? or do I have to buy for each concert? and: is my getting-in garantueed with the ticket, even if getting there late?

You buy a ticket per concert in the auditori. Only the more popular ones will have the option. I'm not entirely sure if they keep the space indefinitely. I believe they let everyone in with tickets first and then after x amount of time will allow other people in. It is more of a queue jumping thing than a guaranteed seat.
