Glastonbury for Teachers

Look, let's not beat about the bush here - teachers do f**k all and get longer holidays for half a days work and grumble at having to put a cross or a tick next some scruffy version of hangman, whilst those of us with a fraction of common sense and self respect do crosswords which are far more taxing and take longer and call it LEISURE.

It's only right that they get to miss Glastonbury. Lazy buggers.

Now can someone pass me some bait?

Your spelling and grammar are appalling (unless your using 'spelling and grammar' as some sort of rhyming slang for example)

Umm... that should be 'you're'. You really should take care of your own spelling and grammar in a post criticising someone else's!

I'm glad you've joined with me in summoning the imminent Wrath Of Phil....

I've got space in my bomb shelter for a little one, if you wish to join me...

2 hours per night my arskkkkkkkk.. Maybe some teachers but nowhere near even half spend 2 hours per night marking.

I know quite a few teachers, and i would say between them an average is 2 hours per night twice a week ! Most of them are in the gym before i get there each evening at 6pm, and go to the pub when they leave !!!

I know several teachers who often start work around 7:30am, and come home and are marking or preparing for lessons for 3 hours plus, 4 nights a week.

My Mum used to be a teacher and she used to work from 8am - 11pm most school days (excluding time to cook tea for us when we were growing up) so she had everything ready for school the next day.

Mind you, she didn't do much school work during the holidays.

Nice to see that the supposition that Teaching is a piss-easy job for slackers and a counter-argument (ironically, from Teachers) that it isn't can be found in all walks of life.

Personally, I wouldn't teach. Having to look after and discipline a gang of kids without any real powers or authority would wind me up to the point of spontaneous combustion and I'd end up battering one of them to death. Don't care how many hours or days off you get or what salary it is.

I know enough teachers to say that the "we work in our holidays" claim is utter rubbish.

My other half is a college lecture. He had 4 weeks off for summer, he spent 3 weeks working his ass off preparing for lessons. He starts at 8 and he gets home about 7. Dont think he has a easy life?

Really hope he gets a couple of days off for glasto!

Ha ha ha ha yeah right....and there's absolutely no time in the 11 hours a day he's at work for him to prepare lessons.
