I have had friends who have been stopped from entering the campsite to come and see us in recent years (even when we went down to fetch them) so I think its down to the security bod. If you have a handful of coffees and its early I think they will waive you in.

You don't get an armband though.

With the day ticket you get no wristband, you just get admitted to the arena and once you're in you can't leave and then come back in again. You wouldn't be allowed into the campsite (if you think about it no-one would buy camping tickets if you could get in on a day ticket!) but who knows whether they'd be able to sneak in?

In 2007, I bought a day ticket for the Sunday and the folks I came with left early. I stayed and some other friends were camping and, by carefully calculating when a huge surge of people enter the campsite, my one pal managed to drag me into the campsite - just wait for a huge bunch of people and aim for the middle, there's no chance the security will be able to check all the wristbands.

However, I wouldn't risk it if you're gonna try and stop over Sat and Sun.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.

    • I don't think I'm alone as a Scotland fan that there is no way that I could possibly fall asleep knowing we're about to play our first World Cup game in 28 years! Pure adrenaline is keeping me wide awake (and plenty of rum)!
    • Trying to stay awake for the footy so it’s just the easy option of a battery😊😉
