My first post on here after my first Glasto.

A group of us all came from Belfast for our first Glasto and we will all be back. I've noticed form the fourm that some of you had negative experiences and while I sympathise I have to be honest and say I found it all very positive.

This was one of the most uplifting and heartwarming experiences I've ever had to be honest. I had all the usual concerns before we set off and in particular my partner reckoned she wouldn't cope with the toilets and showers. She ended up using the longdrops twice a day, more than me in fact

We arrived on Thursday around 4pm, drove striaght in and parked the car and walked straight through Gate A, no searches, no queue. Hard enough finding somewhere to camp but ended up beside JP stage (big hello to our Sheffield neighbours, hope you got home safe). Yeah the campsite was a bit cramped but didn't notice after a while.

Food etc was all generally good though bacon egg sarnies for breakfast are too expensive but that was more than made up for by the Goan fish curries and mexican grub we got every day for dinner.

Spent a fair bit of time at Pyramid and loved the headliners especially as I'd not seen Neil Young before. Next time I'd probably see more of the various other stages but had to do the Pyramid this time as I'd watched it so many times on the telly. Same goes for trash cit/shangri-la, we will be there A LOT next time. I might even try a bit LESS people watching in future as well

Lastly I just loved the atmosphere. I thought everyone was chilled out, not agro, no violence at all despite the drink/drugs etc. No way would that happen with an even even a tenth the size of Glasto over here. It felt like everyone understood that this is a special place, it surpassed my expectations, I'm in love with it and I'll see you all there next year.

Thanks to everyone for making it happen.

My first glasto too and had an absolute ball!

Yeah there were a few tiny negatives but nothing to get upset about or put a dampener on anythng.

I walked miles, saw loads of bands ate some great food, loved the green fields and shangri-la missed so much too so I will have to go back next year  Maybe alone next year not sure if my mates will do two on the bounce.

People keep asking me about it in work and I can't get over how good a time I had. Roll on 2010
