there seems to be a wave of it at the moment, happened to my bro too.

Your bank will investigate and you should get your money back but it could take a while....

I'll join the pool and give you a couple of tinnys!

This happened to my wife a few years back. You will get your cash back, but not in time for Glastonbury ^_^.

It's possible to do Glasto on a serious budget.

When I graduated I had £40 to last for 5 days for me and my now wife. We made excessive use of the Hari Krishna tent - having 3 very good meals a day for free (donated lots to them on subsequent visits). On the Sunday we spent the 40 on food stalls and such - we still had a blast ^_^.

lol @ name reference. ive had this as a screen name for everything since i was 17. ironically its actually meant the otherway round, as in to blitz crime and teach it a lesson, it was a superhero name lol. 11 years later its just still the screen name i tend to stick with

that is a shame, and deff no chance you will get funds back in time, ive heard it can take a month or two!!

an absolute hassle at the best of times, your still have a good time, no doubt..just have to borrow some money/rely on friends

im sure you know, but try to avoid using any type of card in petrol stations, shell/bp garages are notoriosly rife for card fraud

How awful!

Really sorry that it has happened, and even more so as it is so close to the festival.

Do you have kind family/friends who will lend you some cash? Will the bank temporarily extend your overdraft to allow you access to funds?

Good luck! I hope you can it sorted.

And as said above, it can be done on a real budget.

You'd be surprised. I have a terrible credit rating, I thought a beggar on the street would have more chance of getting money from the bank. However I went into Barclays and within literally 10 minutes I was given another £100 on my maxed out overdraft, no questions asked! That was about a month ago.

Depends on your bank. I'm with the co-op and when I realised my card had been stolen I rang them up, and they returned the money to my account within 24 hrs whilst they investigated it.

If you explain the situation they might expidite it or up your overdraft temporarily.

When I was mugged in Amsterdam, I rang Barclaycard to stop my credit card (which was pretty much up at it's limit) they offered to courier up to £500 in cash to me within 24 hrs as an emergecy loan. So even if you're not sure about your credit rating, it's always worth a try!

This happened to me 3 years ago. £1600 was taken from banks around Italy, shortly after a holiday in Spain/France/Basque area. Never really got an explanation from the bank. Don't remember my card ever leaving my sight, anyone spotting my PIN, or using any dodgy cashpoints. Took about 4 months to get the money back.

If i was skint at Glastonbury i would offer my services to carry people stuff from the gate to there camp site. I would charge anything from a 5 to 10 pounds depending how much stuff they had.

I know i would quite happly pay for this service!!!!
