So I have a dilemma - having been on these forums since 2003 (eek) and been to several Glastos, people here talk about Mr Rolf with a high degree of fondness, and I've always meant to check him out as people seem to infer that he's usually a Glastonbury classic.

However being an expat Yank and not having grown up here, I can't say I know many of his songs or his act, not having grown up with him - I mean I've heard "Tie me kangaroo down sport" etc but only in passing.

So my question is, how much of seeing Rolf has to do with reliving your childhood, and how much of it is because he's a good performer? If I go am I going to feel like a spod when everyone else is singing along and I am not?

Listen to 2 Little Boys for the emotional side of Rolf. then listen to Court of King Caractacus for a fine example of his humourous songs.

He's just a legend for being a nice bloke that brings happiness to people.

He is just SOOOOOO lovely - I wish he was my uncle!!! :( He was superb on Have I Got News For You recently.

He is on my 'must see' list - there won't be a dry eye in the place for Two Little Boys. Altogether now!

'Did you think I would leave you dying, when there's room on my horse for two?'

Sniff, sniff....

Get there early if you want to see more than a dot in the distance. No screens remember at Jazz World. I think I'll go straight from dawn at the stone circle and hang around Brothers till they open.

I'm so excited for the Rolf meet, and Rolf in general... I even have to call my dad when he plays 2 little boys cos it was my grandpa's favourite song (bit sappy I know, but eh? what can you do! hehe)

I cant remember exactly which year he played the Pyramid stage on a Sunday lunchtime (2003/4), but it was awesome. There had to be 80,000 people there and it was the best atmosphere of the whole festival.

There were girls holding up signs saying things like "Rolf, will you didgery-do me" and two guys dressed in huge kangaroo suits on pogo-sticks bouncing through the crowd. Honestly, it was so much fun. ;)

Cant wait to see him again.
