It does take time, I'm currently 7 months, but the year of my marriage before that was a complete sham due to a full on affair he was having. Men, f**king stupid creatures!!!

But hey, its their loss, we're not bad people, we may not look like the Brads and Angelina's of this world but neither will they when their 80 :)

We're better off without these people in our lives dragging us down. Hold your head up high and start living YOUR life.

Here are a few nice words from an email sent to me this week (I won't paste the photo's of cute cats that came with it <_<)

Laugh often

Meet new people, even if they look different to you

Remain calm, even when it seems hopeless

Be weird whenever you have the chance

RELAX

Take an occasional risk

Try to have a little fun each day ... it's important

Express yourself creatively

Always be up for surprises

Share with friends

Seize the Moment

Hold on to good friends; they are few and far between

Indulge in the things you truly love

......... And close your eyes

And smile at least once a day!

Peace x :)

I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys n gals. The sooner the better too. Next wednesday can't come soon enough for me now. :):)

I split with my Boyfriend in September last year we were together 9 years and I have not been on my own since i was 16 it was sooooooooo hard at first but I have a geat group of mates and have been going to gigs and stuff as a single lady, the first time i went to one without him it was quite weird but each time it has got better!!!

This will be my first festival and im still quite sketched out by it all but I know i will be fine and if anything i cant help but think it will be even better (if thats possible)!!!

What has helped is how nice all the people on here seem to be!!!! 6 months ago I would never have considered coming to the meets that are organised on here through fear and ignorance but this year i cant wait to meet ya all!!!

xx

PS Isnt it great that we can all now say next wednesday!!!!

I've only ever been to fests with my ex and will miss her being with me a lot, but with the responses that i've read on here i'll forget for a time and have some great fun , but more importantly meet lots and lots of new people.

Its only my second Glastonbury so still not sure of my way around, will try and camp at the efest camp if i can find it. :D

Hey...I split with my lovely lovely man over 5 years ago and dealing with going to G both in 07 and 08 and him not being there was bloody difficult! Tis and was strange being with lots of friends and so on but not able to be happy at all...

BUT this year...will stop being a moping minny and get myself out there!!! Yes its horrible to lose your partner in crime especially if you did things like The G together and every place you go reminds you of those lovely days...hell I even got married for the day in 03 and walking past Soulmates makes me all sad...but you have to get over it eventually...

good luck and I hope you may venture along to the meets. We wont bite and it may be a good chance for a wibble with some of the others in the same position. That may help get you over things too!

BUT no man hating please! Its a fun night! But if there are also tears etc...then we will be there to support you.

Lucy... youre soo lovely in everything you say and I could shed a tear and share a similar story with you! I only hope Im able to come up to one of the meets and meet you and all the other lovely people on this site.

Being suddenly single is hard to deal with, and at the time you feel the pain will never go away, but it does, over time, and throwing youself into something like Glasto is a good place to start the recovery process. For me, keeping myself busy has been the best cure, Ive met the most people, and done things that I probably wouldnt have if Id still been with him...life can revolve around yourself and your interests, rather than another person, and who knows who is waiting to meet you down the line!

you'll totally have an amazing time.

i broke up with my gf recently and as much as it hurts i'm using glasto as the cut off point at which i say "f**k it, i'm not thinking about that any more cos there's more important and enjoyable things in life."

of course you're going. don't be silly.

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
