Why not a singles meet at Glasto?

I know there is an efests meet every year at Glasto. But why is there not an singles meet at Glasto? Not necessarily a dating sort of event. Just a meetup for any lone Glasto goers to meet up and have a beer or two with other like minded guys and girls. And if anything else comes from it friendship/romance, then that's a bonus. A fair number of people(though not in the majority) do goto Glasto alone ever year. Would be good if there was an organised meetup.

Thank you for posting this. As you can see from a thread about Soulmates I shoved up a wee bit earlier there appears to be some interest in this. My suggestion would be...(if Chocs doesnt mind this muscling in on the shenanigans...)

if you can get yourself along to the Gay Meet on the Thursday then there will be plenty opportunity to...

a. meet many peeps

b. possibly have a boogie with a potential 'mate' when you find a tune in common?

c. actually have the chance to chat and get to know one and all while we bomb/bimble around site looking for the next party

d....I can only hope eh?!

The Cider Bus is a great place for an Efests meet but too hectic and busy for folk to properly meet and 'get to know one another'!

Id definatley be up for a singles meet if someone were to organise it , its often too hectic to meet people in the chaos of glastonbury !!

I have no intention of leaving Glasto with a wife but a lot more friends ( male and female )

Have messaged Chocs about allowing a Singles Meet to be incorporated into the Gay Meet and she was super cool with it. All makes sense...as said earlier...give it all a couple more days and everything should be sorted. Carnations not needed!
