National Express starting points

Does anyone have a list of places that direct National Express coaches to Glasto depart from? That National Express web site doesn't.

So far, seeing where their system would have me stand around for hours for a change, I've got:

- Birmingham

- London

- Heathrow

- Bristol

If I can't line up the changes a bit better, it's adding up to an 8 hour journey from the midlands! Maybe the train is a better option.

Leamington. Further research suggests that the train to Castle Carey via Reading has to be the most sensible choice.

That would be a really useful list. I'm pretty sure there are direct buses from Oxford, but maybe only one or two. I'll send an email to National Express customer services and see what they come back with.

Old list but presumably it doesn't change much year to year. I've no idea where anything is north of Watford so can't be of specific help to you :angry:

Im on a direct national express bus from Leeds, not that its much use to you, but still.

i was thinking about this, but it's not direct is it, there's a change in bristol or something. so i'll probably go into london victoria and get the direct coach from there

I think there are direct coaches from Heathrow. When I asked their web site about coaches from Warwick, it told me there would be one change, at Heathrow.

It really would help if there was a full list of routes, instead of having to guess based on experiments with the query tool.

Cutting out as much as an hour in and hour out would be worth it.

On top of that, at Victoria there is one big queue, feeding a constant stream of coaches. Every 15 minutes 2 or 3 coaches park up, load up and set off (takes about 15 minutes) so they are not exactly slouching on that side! As long as a 2 hours wait before they let you on a coach.

I don't know what Heathrow is like, but even if there is an hours wait, you could be looking at saving 3 otherwise wasted hours if your coaching to london to change there!

We're going direct from Wolverhampton. I actually live near Nuneaton but am heading off to the rents place in Stafford on the Tuesday, then getting a lift to Wolverhampton bus station on the Wednesday morning. It seems to be the only direct one that day, leaving at 11am and arriving in Pilton at about 3pm ish, & have also managed to wangle a direct return to Wolverhampton too
