Alcohol

I noticed a lot of people with hydro packs last year not sure if they where for alcohol or not but as i carry around cans in my bag all day iv decided to just go with a hydro pack this year just didnt know what was best to put in it, Im thinking wine as im becoming a big fan of any white wine but how will it do in the sun all day ? and how will it taste out of a straw?

anything fizzy just wont work as my friend found out, much to his dismay as all his beer just poured out onto the floor, wouldn't drinking through one of those make you really drunk, like drinking through a straw does.

we bring one to every festival we go to - we have adapted ours though by putting an extra bladder and pipe in, one normally holds pimms & lemonade, and the other vodka and tesco kick. Works well as the redbull type drink comes in handy for later in the day when energy reserves are dwindling.

Its a bit heavy at the start, but gets lighter as the drink goes down. Luckily my bf is happy to carry it in the early part of the day, and I take over a bit later.

You can put pretty much anything in them - although I would avoid lager type drinks - not so great when warm, and they tend to squirt out of the pipe quite fiercely.

Definitely worth investing in an extra bladder - even if it is so you can do different drinks on different days. Vodka redbull with a hint of pimms & lemonade is not great

voddy and mixer is always good. warm beer is rank. cider is from the bus / westons box - but dont take it outta the box or it looks like you're drinking a colostomy bag

Think i'll be tempted to get one for vodka this year.

i go with skittles vodka and sprite perfect combo i find over the 5 days if i have too many 1 litre bottles of redbull i end up with the shakes come monday, so not done that since 2007

another vote for red wine. you can get amazingly drunk though, as you don't realise how much you're drinking, and it's so easy to just keep sucking away on the tube (no hassles like going into your bag for another can, or opening a bottle etc).

oh yes its lethal you can drink it straight you think your just drinking a skittles drink but then your on the floor just remember to take the green ones out or else it goes brown

We got some of these hydro packs at much cheapness (£10) from Tesco last year and found that Burrow Hill went down a treat in them! It also doesn't taste to bad warm either?

I think tescos have them this year as well!

i would go for straight vodka that way you can buy yourself a nice cold mixer where ever you are on site (any bar will give you a free cup) and then you don't have to worry about warm flat coke or lemonade messing up your lovely alcohol

voteing Vodka as a 1st choice for drink ... maybey one of the 3 litre hydro packs may be a bad idea

yeah i just buy a new one from tesco every year for £9.78 its not worth the hassle of cleaning and its decent size for holding a few cans and other bits and pieces along with the 1.5 litres of booze.
