I have ordered of ebay some acrylic paint and sequinned lace for around the top, so even if the paint fails the sequins will stay in place!

Pimp Your Wellies!!! Could be a great stall for those artistic folk in the Greenfields!

Maybe I'll grab some nasty £1.00 wellies from Poundland and see if it'll work okay.

i tried fabric paint and although it dried, it just peeled off before i'd even left the house. acrylics and spray paints don't dry (trust me, my friends and i have tried all these), hence why i suggested permanent markers as its the only thing we've tried thats worked.

Ah, that's a shame. I'm better with paint than markers!

Well, I'm going on the 'essentials spree' soon and shall pick up some markers. I've seen some permanent silver ones about recently that'll (hopefully) bring my wellies to life, along with the classic black markers.

I painted mine with the paints from a games workshop games kit, I think they were acrylic? That stayed on for ever!

Success - after reading this forum and others I found out the best way to paint Wellies are to use a plastic primer like rustoleoum plastic primer or universal primer. It takes a few days to dry matt and keeps the flexibilty. Then you can spray paint with whatever spray paint or stencil with acryllic - as long as its not water based.

This lasts forever and if you want a change then start again!
