i'd be happy with nickelback... would mean i'd have a chance to see the other stages then!

seriously though, nickelback??? can't see it myself... aren't they a little too mainstream for download? yeah ok mcr and lost prophets are well on their way there but local radio favorites nickelback? can't see it...

i just keep going back to all this organisers listening to the fans business... slipknot, like em or not, they are a massivly popular band, and imo will be a great, very popular headliner, the whole classic bands thing was a massive hit last year so sunday is a winner... but was there a massive outcry nickelback? if there was i missed it... and to be honest i'd sooner have "i love gerard way" tattooed on my head than walk around in a nickelback tee!!

personally, i think they have had so much stick for questionable headliners the last few years they will make sure they get it right, not with everyone, but with the majority, this time...

although... in the brits last night (don't ask why i was watching, i don't know!) when maiden collected the award for best live act bruce did say they were playing australia, new zealand, south america, north america and then they would be heading back to the uk... the last i read the tour was finishing in florida... although i would say maiden would be a great headliner, its not very original is it?

I (maybe wrongly) assumed that it was panning out to look like (mainstage) :-

Friday

TBC

Motley Crue

Limp Bizkit

Korn

Saturday

Slipknot

M Manson

Prodigy

Pendulum

Sunday

Wasn't it confirmed elsewhere that Motley Crue were playing 2nd from top Friday?

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
