I don`t go out of my way to meet anyone famous.I used to when I was like 18 or so met loads of rock stars most not big league like Mr.Dickinson or Mr.Taylor (who I have never met).

My best mate who I have been mates with for 20+ years met all of Pantera and has a signed Cowboys from Hell record by them they was playing the marquee club just before they became big. While we was queing to get in they came out.I went across the road to get some beers came out of the offie and saw him talking to them by the time I got back across the road they had gone back in.At the time I wasn`t that bothered as they was up and coming of course now I am pretty gutted. He still has it. ;)

oh nooo that's grim.. and i bet the fact your mate still has it a constant reminder.. grr..

i never look out for famous peeps either (would rather go and have a few post-gig bevvys than wait for the band at the backstage oor ;) ) the only reason i met mr.dickinson and mr.taylor was coz i was working for download radio that year.. there were loads of other bands/artists at varying places in the food chain, but these two were the only ones i really gave a hoot about meeting..

anyhoo, back on topic, what's the capacity of bloodstock? and what's the arena like?

hmmm, cheers for the insight oscar, my girlfriend went last year so shall have to find out more from her. don't think she had any problems, but then she dresses like a complete goth so probably fitted in quite well! there were a few more bands announced for Bloodstock today, but nobody big yet. just praying there's some truth in the rumours on this site, given that it's currently listing Catheral, Clutch, COB, Megadeth, and Machine Head!

The Bloodstock team are delighted to announce that death metal giants CARCASS and ARCH ENEMY have been added to the bill for BOA 2009. The pair will co-headline one day of the festival and the event will mark the ONLY UK shows of 2009 for both bands!

May have to go after all. ;)

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
