Alama 3 should be there, deserved headliners. Maybe Ian Brown as well? Just as guess. Think we'll be there anyway. Might just order tickets just now. :O

This is now all booked and confirmed :P

So it goes -

Monday morning ferry after Bestival to Southampton then a flight to Inverness, staying in a B+B on the Monday night and get a few beers at night.

Tuesday morning, bus over to Ullapool and then book into campsite for Tuesday onwards for the festival, staying in the tent that night.

Wednesday morning ferry to Stornoway and pick up hire car on arrival. Book into B+B then head South on the Island towards Tarbert taking in the lovely scenery and then head back at night for a few drinks in town.

Thursday morning take a drive North on the Island towards Port Nis (time depending) and then back down for the afternoon ferry back to Ullapool to hopefully meet some new arrivals at the campsite and head for drinks.

Friday - Saturday catch the Loopallu vibes

Sunday head home and recover after 11 days on the road ;)

:D

    • Doesn't surprise me. West Yorkshire had a vote if they wanted a mayor in 2012 and voted no. The government then ignored the vote and announced the position anyway in 2016.

    • Also agree, it does feel that there isn’t much between the Mercury Prize and the Brit Awards these days.   This part sums it up for me “The complaint isn’t so much about the quality of the music, but more the disappearance of spaces for outsider voices in British music. With streaming algorithms feeling increasingly geared towards big names, and social media acting as a minefield, the Mercury’s pivot to the mainstream closes another door in the face of creative independence.”
