Ed Leaf
I was going to make a proper go of things this year and get round a few more festivals like wot I did do in the olden days. However, planed additions to the family means that SSW will be the first festival of the year on my calender. And I've never seen Bruce Springsteen so that'll be a bonus. I'll head off to the real ale tent when Blur are on. As much as I love them I've seen them way too many times. Doves are touring their new album in spring... RichardH
Ae arsed about Zep though if Plant isn't singing?
Kaybee
I've heard Madonna's headlining Saturday. I'm not fussed about her myself, but if it stops her making another film I guess I can live with it. Hopefully there'll be someone better on at the Rising Stage. jay.v
So back in the real world, heres why I'm excited. over the last few years I've been trying to go to as many differnet festivals but the one I've chose to return to is SSW which I guess says something about what a good festival it is. I think Beck would be a top headliner. As for other bands/artists how about.. Eels, Damien Dempsey, Josh Ritter, Black Kids, Ben Folds, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and it would be good to see Super Furry Animals and Alabama 3 return. And the Ukelele Orchastra of Great Britain is always good on a Sunday Morning (think of a bunch of banjos playing sex pistols and nirvana). Then again, I'm sure it'll be a top weekend whoever plays. Tix booked - can't wait
Ed Leaf
I think Animal Collective would be a bloody show stealer if they are obtainable. LCD Soundsystem I'd also sell my relatives for. Little Barrie & The Loose Salute would be cool. And then a shed load of new bands half my age playing music that I don't understand. Oh and Andy Smith for a dj slot somewhere as an educated request. andyblack
ps yep, lcd soundsystem have packed in the live music scene, which is unfortunate for matt, former soundman at leicester's esteemed venue the attik, who plays drums for LCD (i kid you not). my american travels led me to discover spoon, only two years after they played summer sundae. typical......
