Does anyone know the earliest a line-up announcement has ever been made?

Do you reckon we have to wait til March until we get anything confirmed?

yes, but the headliners and other acts playing high up usually start getting rumoured in the next few weeks, and efestivals will tell you when they believe a band is genuinely playing. This has been quite a late year though (even though we're on the first ), last year rage and metallica were pretty much guaranteed and killers/ foos were rumoured for the final day.

Since I started going in 2003, the earliest confirmation of any of the headliners was when Metallica announced themselves in 2003. I think that was in December 2002, but it was definitely by January 03. That was definitely a one-off though.
