No. So long as you don't watch live or recorded live broadcasts, you don't need a TV license. You are effectively using the TV as a display monitor.

I don't know where I'd stand on that, but the only way they'd know I had, would be if they found any of the copied dvd's that my dad does for me, in my flat.

I meant more something someone has taped off telly for you - if they have a licence obviously. I know this sounds archaic and I know there are all these new fangled ways of recording progs nowadays but I have a vcr in my telly and dont own a dvd player

That's what I was talking about, just with dvds rather than vhs. My dad copies stuff off tv onto his hard drive and then from his hard drive onto a dvd. My dad is more tech minded than myself. He's better at Halo too

Should I be ashamed that I dont even know what Halo is? Im currently making a mix cd and need my daughter to show me an easier way of copying a file from one folder to another - it was dead straightforward on Windows XP but seems a right ball ache on Vista - which probably means Im not doing it the easiest way

But Pokemon Snap was good. You go around in a railway cart thing and take pictures of pokemon. Sounds rubbish but was well good.
