Max Payne.

utter drivel, although i did wonder whatever happened to Chris O'Donnell.

Wahlberg is letting himself down badly after showing what a decent actor he can be in the past.

as a side note, bullet time type special effects are way dated already and should be avoided.

I just watched [rec], and was pretty disappointed TBH. the last 10 minutes were great, but the whole rest of the film was so generic, there wasnt a single zombie movie cliche not used. the last 10 were very well done, but that didnt redeem the film for me. in fact it was as if the last 10 were from a different movie.

A very strange ending would be " The Mist". I dont know if anybody here has seen it but, Man that has a really bleak ending. Apparantly the Movie studio told the Director ( Frank Darabont of Shawshank fame ) that he could name his own effects budget if he changed the ending which he refused to do. Whilst im no big fan of the film , it is a brave, startling and bleak denoument as downbeat as anything I can remember. I couldn't comment further without ruining it :P .

watched zack and miri and eagle eye today

zack and miri was good, had some really funny bits although i thought the ending was a bit cheesey

Eagle eye was pretty good as well, nothing spectacular but enjoyable enough

agree with that, watched it last night.

the bit with justin long at the reunion was brilliant.

not that it really mattered, but what little plot there was disintegrated in the last half hour or so.

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
